New class from Sue Fields-Dance Journal

Just A Girl Altered Journal

Supplies Needed:
Moxxie Just A Girl Rub-ons
Moxxie Just A Girl patterned paper-Flower Frenzy, Take Flight, Fancy Free
1 sheet White cardstock
Scalloped circle punch, 2 inches in diameter
One silk or straw flower
Rick-rack
Pop Dots
Alphabet Stickers
Inexpensive journal/notebook (got mine at a craft store for $1)

Step 1:
Begin by measuring the size of your journal.  I measured mine from the holes where the spiral binding goes to the edge of the book.
Cut a piece of the Take Flight dotted paper that is 1/2 to 3/4 inches larger than the measurements of your journal.
Adhere to the cover (see document 1).

Step 2:
Fold over the edges like you are wrapping a gift and adhere to the inside of the cover (see document 2).
Step 3:
To finish off the inside of the cover, cut a piece of the Flower Frenzy large enough to extend past your folds, yet keeping a small distance from the edges of the book (see document 3).  Do the same thing for the back of the journal.
Step 4:
Now you've got the base of your journal covered, so it's time to move onto the fun stuff!
Cut a thin strip of Fancy Free to adhere along the left side of the cover.  My strip measured approximately 1 1/2 inches, however you may need to adjust the size to whatever is appropriate for your journal.
Adhere this strip down, then adhere your rick-rack as well (see document 4).  The rick-rack should measure the same length as your Fancy Free strip.
Step 5:
Using a scrap piece of the Flower Frenzy, punch out your scalloped circle.  We will be using the blue side of the paper (See document 5).
Step 6:
Now, using the Just A Girl rub-ons, rub of the flower onto the punched circle (See document 6).
Step 7:
Do the same with the white piece of cardstock and the butterfly rub-on (See document 7).
Cut the butterfly out.  I left some of the white around the edges of the butterfly to give those delicate antennas a little more stability.

Step 8:
Coming into the final stretch, you can add the pop dots onto the back side of the circle (See document 8).
Step 9:
Do the same for the butterfly, however double-up the pop dots on the right, top wing (See document 9), as it needs the extra height.

Step 10:
Now you can adhere the silk/straw flower and add your title to your journal (See document 10).  I chose to title mine "Dance" but this could work for just about anything.
Wasn't that fun?!!!
